

Kenneth W. DeVinney, 57, of Perrysville, went home to be with the Lord on May 23, 2015 following a four year battle with cancer. Born July 1, 1957 in Mansfield, he was the son of Gillis Aaron and Margaret (Kelly) DeVinney. Kenneth was a 1975 graduate of Madison Comprehensive High School and later earned his degree in Theology from Mansfield Bible College. Following graduation, Kenneth went to work at Mansfield Correctional Institution, where he was a maintenance supervisor for 24 years and later became a corrections officer for four years. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. A spiritual man, Kenneth was a member of Impact Worship Center, where he was a praise team drummer, and a part of the group Feed HIS Family Ministry. He also was a part of the Walk to Emmaus and he Pastored at Lake Maria campground in Mansfield.
Surviving are his wife of 23 years, Connie DeVinney; four children, Nicholas DeVinney, Holly DeVinney, Debbie (Marc) Harris, and Don (Kate) Blakley Jr.; grandchildren, Zane Harris, Gage Harris, and Alexa Blakley; sisters, Barbara Lennington of Mt. Vernon, Brenda (Ralph) Snyder of Mansfield, and Susan Rhinehart of Nebraska; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his brother, Theodore DeVinney; brother-in-law, Jim Lennington; and nephews, John Snyder and Andrew Lennington.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, June 1, 2015 from 3-7 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Road, Ontario. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Pastor Karl Shafer and Pastor Mike Cloud. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
