
Kenneth Lee Morgan, 81, of Mansfield, died Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at Mansfield Memorial Home after a long battle with cancer and diabetes. Born December 8, 1924 in Muskogee, Oklahoma, he was the son of John Samuel and Flossie Butcher Morgan. He was formerly employed at G & L Supply as a deliveryman and had previously worked at Mansfield Tire and Rubber Co. as well as managing a Sohio gas station. Mr. Morgan was a veteran of WWII, serving with the U.S. Army Air Force. He enjoyed fishing and cars and, as a young person, enjoyed horseback riding.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Eileen Vivian Nielsen Morgan, whom he married March 1, 1945; daughter, Bonnie L. Morgan of Mansfield; sister, Altah Eugene Snodgrass of Springfield, MO; sister-in-law, Patricia Jack Davis of Akron; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, John David Morgan on December 28, 2000; daughter, Sharen K. Morgan on August 15, 2005; parents; and two sisters, Mabel Wingo and Vera Stalker.
There will be no calling hours or services observed at this time. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors assisted the family with arrangements.
