

Larry was an honest, down to earth, hardworking, patriotic man. He spent over 25 years at Tappan Industries, and then later retired from Hi-Stat. He enjoyed attending various local churches. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, going to flea markets and car shows, and working on cars, or anything with an engine. Larry had a great taste for gourmet foods, but also loved KFC, Chinese Buffets, chocolate ice cream, and a good cup of coffee.
Larry is survived by his wife, Patricia Harris; his daughter, Glenda Harris and her mother Barbara Harris of Mansfield; his step-daughter, Katherine Smith of Mansfield; his step-son, Elvis Burkey of Delaware, Ohio; his grandchildren, Jennifer Harris (Anthony) Grano of Caledonia, Illinois, Lori Harris of Rockford, Illinois, James (Kristy) Harris of Mansfield, and Debbie Sowders of Mansfield; his great-grandchildren, Faith Kelly Grano, Arizona Graszl, Jocelynn Harris, Mackenzie Harris, Terry Bishop, Cameron Pardue, Kameron Bukery, Teyler Burkey, Elvis Burkey Jr., and Ariel Burkey; his brother, Gary Harris of Pennsylvania; his nieces and nephews, Debbie Patterson, Dick Ward, John Marble, and Mike Compton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Kelly Gene Harris; his grandson, Gene Kelly Harris; his sisters, Evelyn Compton and Helen Marble; and his nephew. Tom Compton Jr.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 29, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Contributions may be made to the family.
