He grew up on a farm and loved competing, teasing, and playing with his brothers and sister. Larry married his high school sweetheart, Ethel Mae Harbolt on November 22, 1968.
Larry enjoyed life, laughed with all of us and took care of his family whom he loved dearly; most of all his grandkids. They affectionately called him Popo. Although Larry was a hard worker and someone you could count on, he really loved to sneak away for a round of golf whenever he could. Larry never met a stranger and become fast friends with anyone he met. He was a straight shooter. Even if it wasn’t something you especially wanted to hear, he would still tell it like it was.
Larry passed from this life suddenly on June 27, 2013 at his home in Plano, Texas. He is survived by his loving wife, EJ Jacobs; children, Jim Jacobs and Jennifer Jameson and her husband, Chad; grandchildren, Tyler, Mason, Samantha, and Erin Jacobs and Emily and Andrew Jameson; siblings, William Stuart and his wife, Kathy, Robert Jacobs and his wife, Elaine, Randy Jacobs and his wife, Mary Ann, Dan Jacobs, and Linda Knowlton and her husband, Lorn; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Tommy Jacobs.
