

Larry Palmer, 58, of Mansfield, OH died October 13, 2013 at his residence. Born March 25, 1955, he was the son of William and Cleotha (Evans) Palmer. Larry was born in Mississippi, raised in Memphis, TN, later moved to Chicago, and finally settled in Mansfield in 1994. He was a fun loving guy who was always telling jokes and everyone loved to be around. He enjoyed watching Dallas Cowboys football, San Antonio Spurs basketball, and listening to Blues music. He also enjoyed fixing cars for family and friends and playing a good game of basketball with his boys. He worked at Park Avenue car wash since 1995. Larry attended Mt. Hermon Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 13 years, Rosemary Palmer; four sons, Calvin Wilson, Sr., Marcus Wilson, Timothy Gladney, and Aaron Gladney; 12 grandchildren; two brothers, Ricky Palmer and Curtis Palmer; two sisters, Linda Palmer and Tawanda (Ray) Dortch; a sister-in-law, Patricia (Jessie) White; two brothers-in-law, James (Delores) Wilson and Ronald (Latreva) Wilson; an aunt, Bertha (Sammy) Miller; an uncle, Willie Floyd Palmer; special nephew, Plessie D. Wentworth; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and good friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, William and Cleotha (Evans) Palmer.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 21, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, 292 Charles Ave., Mansfield, OH. Family and friends are invited to call one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Palmer's honor to Mt. Hermon Baptist Church.
