

Lawrence "Larry" W. Holloway, 82, of Mansfield passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Avita Ontario Hospital. Larry was born on July 20, 1935 in Johnsville, Ohio. He was the son of Harold Holloway and Erma (Allen) Kochheiser.
Larry was a man who freely shared his thoughts with you, he was incredibly liked by all he encountered, and always willing to help. He devoted his life to caring and providing for his family, as they were his number one priority. Larry received his GED at the age of 78 and was the valedictorian of his class. Larry was dedicated to his jobs at Dominion Electric, All Prints Photo for 20 years, and retired after 20 years from the United States Postal Service as a rural mail carrier. He was an active and faithful member of Cornerstone Grace Brethren Church where he ran the sound system and maintained the grounds. Larry belonged to the International Order of Odd Fellows, and was an active participant at local senior centers. Larry could often be found at local establishments having coffee, catching up with his friends and telling stories.
Larry is survived by his son, Michael Holloway; daughter, Pamela Sauder; granddaughter, McKayla Sauder; step-brother, Richard Kochheiser (Carol); numerous nieces, nephews, other dear family; and many good friends and church family. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 49 years of which he married on December 24, 1954, Nellie (Hensley) Holloway; son, Gale Holloway; son-in-law, Steven Sauder; brother, Virgil (Barb) Holloway; step-father, Clifford Kochheiser; step-brothers, Don, Harry, Max, and Howard Kochheiser; and step-sister, Faith Kochheiser.
Family and friends may call on Friday, February 16, 2018 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road from 5:00-8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 am, with an additional hour of visitation from 9:30-10:30 am, on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the Cornerstone Grace Brethren Church, 1905 North Lexington Springmill Road. Pastor Les Vnasdale will officiate the service. Larry will be laid to rest beside his wife at Mansfield Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the family.
