
Lawrence A. Jacobs, Sr., 84, of Mansfield died Monday morning, March 19, 2001 at Colonial Manor, Loudonville. Mr. Jacobs was born May 27, 1916 in Ashland County, Ohio living in the Mansfield area since 1941. He retired from Westinghouse after 38 years. Mr. Jacobs was a charter member of St. Timothy's Lutheran Church. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army in Austria.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby M. Buchanan Jacobs of Mansfield, whom he married October 1, 1938; a daughter, Diana Dunham of Bellville; a son, Lawrence A. Jacobs, Jr. of Mansfield; 7 grandchildren, Robert Dunham of Anchorage, Alaska, Debbie Crunkilton of Butler, Sally Dye of Loudonville, Daniel Dunham of Butler, Michael Dunham of Bellville, Felicia Minkey of Baltimore, Maryland, and Amy Jacobs of Columbus; 17 great-grandchildren; and 4 great great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lyman S. & Myrtle A. Gortner Jacobs; a great-grandson, Robert Dunham, Jr.; two brothers, Howard and Lloyd Jacobs; and a daughter-in-law, Anita Jacobs.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to funeral services to be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Timothy's Lutheran Church conducted by Pastor Bonnie J.
