
Lawrence E. Yost, age 67, died Saturday afternoon July 16, 2005 in the Mifflin Care Center. He was born July 20, 1937 in Wood County, Ohio to the late Henry and Regina Hoffbauer Yost. While living in Mansfield, Lawrence worked at Yellow Freight. He enjoyed gardening, farming, tractors, playing cards and especially his grandchildren. Lawrence was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Amvets and the Knights of Columbus. He had served in the U.S. Army.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Janice Immel Yost; children and their spouses; Carol and Kelly Roberts of Wadsworth, Mike and Michelle Yost of Mansfield, John and Kim Yost of Ashland, Pat Yost of Columbus, Laura Smith of Columbus and Mary Ellen and Dan Schieb of Huron; twelve grandchildren Danielle, Alyssa and Mitchell Roberts, Tiffany, Lindsey, Chelsea and Jordan Yost, Benjamin & Nicholas Yost, Taylor Smith, Abby and Ethan Schieb; two great grandchildren, Bryson and Brevyn; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Betty Yost and Firmin and Mary Yost all of Fostoria and Robert Yost of Mansfield; two sisters and brother-in-law, Coletta Smith of Fostoria and Marie and Arden Vaughn of Bucyrus. Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Dorothy Stewart and Louise Gase and a brother, Cyril Yost.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Tuesday July 19, 2005 from 5-8 pm. A vigil service will take place during the evening visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 AM in St. Peter's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park where military graveside burial rites will be observed. Contributions may be made to the donor's choice.
