

Leona May Nolan, age 92, passed away Saturday evening, March 16, 2013 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. She was born October 30, 1920 in Altoona, Pennsylvania to the late Warren B. and Laura M. (Gates) Wolf.
Leona worked for Albers and Great Scot grocery stores as a cashier for 27 years. In her later years, her main interests focused on her daughter, granddaughter and great-grandchildren, Garett and Kate. She loved the animals in her home and also loved watching the wild birds. Never one to complain, she lived her life with a great sense of humor and friendly attitude.
She is survived by her son, William R. (Janet) Nolan; daughter, Susan C. Nolan; grandchildren, Jonathan (Nicole) Nolan, James Nolan (Lisa Cutter), Joseph A. (Amy) Burchfield and Sheree L. (Bradley) Cicolani; six great-grandchildren, Aleisha, Gabriella, Christian and Jordan Nolan and Garett and Katherine Cicolani; one sister, Marian Love; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Nolan; parents; four brothers; and one sister.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd. with Pastor Susan Lausch of Church of the Cross officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Friends and family may visit beginning at 9:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Church of the Cross United Methodist Church, 236 Otterbein Drive, Lexington, OH 44904.
