Lester Dewiel

Lester J. Dewiel, 58, of Ashland, died Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at his home. Born September 17, 1951 in Ashland, he was the son of Lester E. and Mary Zahnizer Dewiel. He was self employed as a roofer. Lester was a member of the Amvets in Wiggletown. He enjoyed mushroom hunting and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Patterson Dewiel of Ashland; daughter, Leslie Ulaky of Ashland; son, Jeff Levers of Mansfield; four grandchildren, Brooke Phillips, Tangie Dewiel, RyAnn Ulaky and Madison Kurtz; one great-grandchild, Emily Baker; two sisters, Carol Bill Hermann of Perrysville and Kathleen Joel Brittenbucher of Lakeville; four brothers, David Dewiel of Mansfield, Roger Dewiel of Parkersburg, WV, Kenny Dewiel of Greenwich and George Jennie Dewiel of Bellville; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Walter Dewiel.

Friends may visit from 5-8 p.m. Monday, May 10, 2010 at the Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 308 Claremont Avenue. Donations in Lester's memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
