

Lettie B. Hardrick Parson, 84 of 93 South Main St. died unexpectedly March 20, 2000 at Woodlawn Nursing Home. Mrs. Parson was born March 11, 1916 in Lumpkin, Georgia residing in the Mansfield area since 1939. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and in earlier days had taught school in Stewart County Georgia. Surviving are her two daughters and one son-in-law, Carolyn and Kary Catchings Jr. of Trotwood, Ohio and Melba J. Juniel of East St. Louis, Illinois; five stepdaughters, Rita Dulin of Mansfield, Shirley Larkins of Mansfield, Marietta Thomas of Cincinnati, OH, Mattie Spruill of Battle Creek, Michigan, and Monabell Smith of Cleveland, Ohio; two step-sons, Lawrence Parson of Mansfield and W. Russell Parson of Riverside, California; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews including Dorothy Brightwell of Mansfield, and special friend Margaret Roper of Mansfield, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolphus and Lettie Gibbs Hardrick; her husband whom she married August 28, 1942, William Parson who died in 1960; six brothers; two sisters; and one step-daughter. Family and friends will be received at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church 343 N. Main St. Mansfield, Ohio from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service which will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2000 conducted by Dr. Johnny Heckard and Rev. Melba Juniel. Burial will be at Mansfield Cemetery.
