
Lillian Darlene Davis, 80, of Mansfield, died Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after an extended illness. Born August 2, 1929, in Olive Hill, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Ollie Abrams and Vincent Rose. She was formerly employed at Dominion Electric. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. Beautiful, kind and generous, she will be remembered most for the love she had for her family, especially her children.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Rodger and Lynda Davis of Mansfield; one daughter, Carolyn Sue Dean of Colorado; four grandchildren, Jason Dean and Jenny Blackwood of Colorado, Brian Davis and Robin Davis Pruitt of Mansfield; ten great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; and one brother, Johnny Hall of Florida. Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Davis; parents; three brothers, Fearil, Ingil and Roy; and two sisters, Mabel and Leona.
Friends may visit from 5-8 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2009, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Mansfield. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Dean Road Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Clifford Earl Tackett officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
