Lillian Kay Owens

Fondly known as Kay to her friends and co-workers, she was a long time employee of the Gourmet Room in Mansfield. She was fortunate to have attended all her Mansfield Senior High School class reunions with the assistance of her lifelong childhood friends, Carolyn and Bob Simmering. She attended her 55th reunion in 2015.

After suffering a brain aneurysm in 1999, she was honored with a fundraiser "fish fry" by her co-members and friends at the American Legion.

After the passing of her mother and husband, she was blessed with the care and kindness of her "Guardian Angels", Mae and Roy Thomas of Mansfield.

She is survived by her sister, Charlene Oswald of New York; her son, Jeffrey Boner of Florida; nieces, Cynthia and Wendy; nephew, Mike; step daughters, Debra, Amy and Robin; step sisters, Evonne and Melody; step brother, Bryan; and many cousins.

A memorial service will be held this upcoming summer officiated by her cousin, Rev. David Boner. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park.
