Linda Myers

Linda D. Myers, 65, of Shelby, died Thursday evening, January 31, 2008 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born August 2, 1942 in Lakeville, Ohio, she was the daughter of Carl and Audrey Searles McCabe. An area homemaker her entire life, Linda loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed decorating her home, camping, fishing, travelling, cooking, and listening to and dancing to country music. Linda attended Wyandotte Freewill Baptist church.

She is survived by six children, Donna Myers, Linda Ralph Jones, all of Mansfield, Melvin D. Leonice Myers, Jr. of Boston, MA, Karen Myers, Kimberly Howard Cole and Bryan Angie Myers, all of Mansfield; eleven grandchildren, Kristopher D. Norris, Andrea Young, Dustin Urban, Holly Debolt, Ashley Cole, Melissa Myers, Jessica Johnson, Jeremy Johnson, Autumn Sipes, Maci Myers and Hailey Cole; several great-grandchildren; a brother, David McCabe of Mansfield; sister, Sharon Ross of Keyser, WV; best friend, Ida Easterday of Mansfield; and several niece and nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband, Melvin D. Myers, Sr.; parents; and a sister, Thelma McCabe.

Funeral services will be Monday, February 4 at 1:00 p.m. in the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors with Rev. Glenn M. Phillips officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12-1 p.m. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Wappner Funeral Directors.
