Linda Scott

Linda Lou Scott, 70, of Lexington, OH died October 9, 2013 at Lexington Court Care Center. Born on July 12, 1943, Linda was the daughter of Ores and Mildred Waggoner. Linda attended Madison High School where she was active in the marching band, acting as lead majorette her senior year. She graduated in 1961. Linda went to work as a legal secretary after high school. She attended Mansfield Baptist Temple where she was active in church activities. She enjoyed traveling to horse shows where she showed Morgan horses. Linda was a devoted mother. Her family was her pride and joy and she would attend all of her children's activities.

Surviving are her children, Jerry (Stephanie) Scott of Wintergarden, FL, Shawn Scott of Lake Tahoe, CA, and Amber Queen of Ocoee, FL; grandchildren, William Scott, Zoe Scott, and Hunter Queen; sister Betty (George) Knell of Mansfield; and nieces and nephews, Lori (Tom) Hoyt, Mike (Bev) Knell, Robert Sheets, and Greg Sheets.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Janet Ramey.

Funeral services, conducted by Pastor Al Humble, will be held Monday, October 14, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield, OH 44902. Family and friends are invited to call one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Bellville Cemetery.
