

Lois J. Dougherty, 93, of Mansfield, formerly of Bay Village, Ohio, died Thursday, December 31, 2015 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. Born October 22, 1922 in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of Thomas and Emma (Pilgrim) Irwin.
She was a 1940 graduate of Bay Village High School and still continued to do activities with her classmates. A floral designer, she was involved with the Bay Crafters in Bay Village and enjoyed arts and crafts and traveling.
She is survived by a daughter, Diane (Ron) Betscher of Lexington; a son, Thomas C. Dougherty III of Leesburg, Florida; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Dougherty of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; four grandchildren, Greg (Missy) Betscher of Lexington, Beth (Tom) Traxler of Lexington, Jason (Emily) Dougherty of Waterloo, Iowa and Patrick (Sarah) Dougherty of St. Louis, Missouri; eight great grandchildren, Zachary Betscher, Elise Betscher, Jake Traxler, Jordyn Traxler, Eli Dougherty, Finn Dougherty, Parks Dougherty and Nora Dougherty; and several nieces and nephews; and a special sister-in-law, Florence Dougherty of Rocky River, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas C. Dougherty, Jr. and a sister, Sally Irwin Price.
Memorial services will be held 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Busch Funeral Home, 21369 Center Ridge Road, Fairview Park, Ohio. Private burial will be in Lakewood Park Cemetery, Rocky River, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to OhioHealth MedCentral Hospice, 335 Glessner Avenue, Mansfield, Ohio 44903.
