
Lois W. Johnston, 70, of Galion, passed away Friday, May 28, 2010, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. Born January 13, 1940, in Bucyrus, she was the daughter of George and Virginia Greenich Dauchenbaugh. She was employed in the restaurant industry and was a member of the Amvets Post 87, Women's Auxiliary and was an avid bird house and Cardinal collector. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband Rick, bird watching, walking, gardening and eating out with her family. Lois was an amazing, selfless wife, mother and friend whose greatest joy was her grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband of 38 years, Richard "Rick" Johnston; four children, Jimmie Robbin Mason of Bucyrus, Stephanie Mason and her fiancée Tim Williams of Ontario, Shelly Jeremy Knisely of Crestline and Charlie Johnston Dawn Fleming; 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; two sisters, Anna Cuffman and Helen Stamper both of Bucyrus; four brothers, Donald Dauchenbaugh, Danny Sandy Dauchenbaugh, David Dauchenbaugh all of Bucyrus and Jack Mary Dauchenbaugh of Galion; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son Ricky Mason; a sister, Shirley Mae Dauchenbaugh; and three brothers, Jakie Lee, Richard and Gene Kelly Dauchenbaugh.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 12, 2010, at the Life Celebration Reception Center, 129 S. Main St., Mansfield conducted by Pastor Mike Corwin. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation or to the Richland County Bird Sanctuary.
