Lola Gonzales

Lola Gonzales, age 63, of Shelby, died Sunday morning January 1, 2006, at her home following an extended illness. She was born July 13, 1942, to the Late Harley and Dezi Mulberg Goodwin in Bellville and lived in this area all her life. Lola enjoyed music especially playing her piano and will be missed by her pet cat Whiskers.

Surviving are her five children, Lalo J., Jr. & Barbara Gonzales of Shelby, Renita & Gregory Daniels of Mansfield, Laura & Stephan Brown of Mansfield, Tonya Gonzales of Mansfield and Roberto & Michelle Gonzales of Shelby; nine grandchildren, Michael, Adam, Anthony, Nathan, Amanda, Ashley, Jenna, Robbie and Kayla; one brother, William Goodwin of Crestline; three sisters, Lenora Hunter of Centerburg, Mary Louise Kempton of Bellville and Gaylan Foster of Perrysville. Lola has been preceded in death by her parents; husband Lalo Gonzales, Sr.; a son Ricardo; a daughter Lola and a sister Lottie.

Friends may call Wednesday January 4, 2006 at the Diamond St. Home of Wappner Funeral Directors from 5-8 pm. Rev. Al Salas will conduct funeral services Thursday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
