
Loretta Fulghum, 79, of Mansfield, died Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at MedCentral Mansfield. Born August 18, 1931, in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Ophinell Davis Sr. and Anna Lee Robinson Davis. She retired from Woodlawn Nursing Home and was a member of Maddox Memorial Temple Church of God in Christ where she taught Sunday School and gave Bible lessons. A very loving and caring lady, Loretta loved her church and enjoyed reading the Bible but most important to her was her family.
Surviving are four daughters, Marilyn Charles Connors of Columbus, Cheryl Hugh Blair of Mansfield, Ruth David Williams of Mansfield and Loretta Strong of Mansfield; a son, Rufus Tracy Grier of Mansfield; 14 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren; three sisters, Audrey Mae of Oberlin, Norma Lee Randall of Mansfield and Larissa Davis of Oberlin; a brother, Ophinell Mildred David of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ridgeway Fulghum.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at the Maddox Memorial Temple Church of God in Christ conducted by Pastor Aaron Williams. Friends may call one hour prior to the service, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church on Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the family or to the American Cancer Society.
