Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Robert V. Castor in 2003 after 51 years of marriage; her stepdaughter, Connie Castor Seacrist; and cousin, Dean Mitchell.
Louise enjoyed spending time with her family, especially times at family gatherings at the Yogi Bear/Lake Timberlin Campground in Bellville where she was a seasonal camper for over 30 years. She was very active in campground events including the Haunted Hayride, the themed weekend events like Christmas in July, and camp pot lucks. Louise liked sitting around a campfire sharing wonderful stories and watching fireworks with friends and family. Louise was also known for her down-home cooking, especially her homemade bread.
Louise worked in various businesses throughout her life and especially enjoyed working at the Walking Horse Inn restaurant in Bellville. She truly loved living in Bellville and was a loyal patron of all of the local businesses. She would actually drive out of her way to patronize merchants in the valley as she loved its small town charm and local people. She looked forward to getting pampered by and spending time with her friend, Chris Cecil of the Ru-Len Beauty Bar.
Louise was a lifelong member of the Pleasant Valley Lutheran Church where she served on the parish council and was the church treasurer for many years. Louise always took pride in her job making coffee and serving donuts after the church services. She especially enjoyed the annual church service on Mt. Geez. Louise was also a member of the Lucas Area Ministerial Association (LAMA) comprised of several churches and ministries in and around Lucas, OH to serve those in need of food and other resources.
In her spare time, Louise enjoyed going to garage sales and finding treasures for her family and friends. She also enjoyed searching her family history through genealogical records and collecting old family photos. She loved her pet basset hounds, Peggy, Becky, and Josie, and thoroughly enjoyed dotting on them.
The family would like to thank the Area Agency on Aging and Hospice of North Central Ohio for their loving care of Louise during her illness.
