
Lucile Irene Davis, 74, of Mansfield, died early Monday morning, February 12, 2007, at The Ohio State University Medical Center. Born January 31, 1933, in Lucas, she was the daughter of Carl D. and E. Lucille Weirick Hartson. She retired in 1993 from People's Hospital after 27 years of service as a food service manager. Lucile was an active and devoted member of McElroy Road Church of Christ where she participating in many activities. She was a member of Certified Dietary Manager's Association, the American Society of Hospital Food Service Administrators, American Legion Post #16 Auxiliary and V.F.W. Post #9943 Auxiliary. Lucile was an excellent cook and has many recipes and cookbooks.
She is survived by a daughter, Joyce Irene William Hall of Mansfield; four grandchildren, Christopher Louis Mills of Kentucky, Christie Irene Mills, Aaryn Renee Davis and Brian Davis, all of Mansfield; seven great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty J. Rine, of Mansfield; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis E. Davis on May 7, 1984, son, Daniel Lee Davis, parents, four sisters and three brothers.
Friends may call Wednesday, February 14 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Pastor Frank Moore. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to McElroy Road Church of Christ.
