

Luther led an interesting life. He enjoyed listening to and playing bluegrass music and would feed the squirrels that were permanent residents around his home. He once traded a pint of moonshine for his first fiddle, a bow and a burlap sack. His first job was driving melons from Kentucky to Ohio. He then worked as a contractor before going to worked at Gorman Rupp. He retired from Voisard Manufacturing. Luther was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the U.S. Army. He was a current member of Dean Road Free Will Baptist Church and served as a deacon.
He is survived by five children, Arlie Hunt, Dorothy Hunt, Carolyn Sapp, Danny Hunt and Michael Hunt; six grandchildren, Shauna, Tabbatha, Kenneth, Kayla, Lisa and Melinda; six great-grandchildren, Jordan, Bryce, Tyler, Devon, Blake and Morgan; a brother, Cecil Hunt; and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline; son, McKinley Hunt; siblings, Nellie Lewis, Mattie Caskey, Denzil Hunt and Dickie Hunt; grandchildren, Christopher Probst Hunt, Joshua Sapp and LaDawn Sapp; and great-grandchild, William Dawson.
Burial will be in Perry Cemetery, Blairs Mill, Kentucky on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 1:00 pm conducted by Pastor Clifford Earl Tackett.
