

M. Jack Breinich, 93, of Galion, died Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at Galion Hospital after a brief illness. Jack was a former Mansfield/Ontario resident. He was born to Anton and Susanna Schmidt Breinich on March 1, 1912, in Mansfield. He had to quit high school to run the family farm, returned to high school, graduating at age 26. Jack was a graduate of Ontario High School, Ohio University and held two Master's degrees from The Ohio State University. Jack taught chemistry and physics at Ontario High School the last half of his career. He loved young people and was dedicated to his students. He attended Ontario United Methodist Church. He was a 32nd degree Mason, charter member of the Ontario Lions Club, member of Al Koran, White Shrine, the Liederkranz Club and various other organizations.
Jack is survived by his son, John Frieda Breinich of Galion; grandson, Christopher John Tara Breinich of Galion; four granddaughters, Heather L. Louis Falzone of Holland, Shannon Jenkins of Mansfield, Annette Roy May, and Robin Joe Cortez, all of Simi Valley, Cal.; daughter-in-law, Norma Breinich of Simi Valley, Cal.; fifteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita May Saylor Breinich; two sons, Robert Joseph and Anton Ray Breinich; daughter, Sharon Ann B. Orewiler; brothers, Joe Breinich and Anton Breinich, Jr.; and sister, Katherine Taylor.
Friends may call at the Ontario home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Sunday, April 10 from 1-6 p.m. with Masonic services at 5:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Rev. James F. Winkler. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lions Club, Shriner's Crippled Children's Hospital of Erie, Pennsylvania and Burn Hospital of Cincinnati, or Lifeline of Ohio.
