
Magdalena 'Little Lena' Baumann, 82, of Mansfield, passed on to her eternal reward July 14, 2010. Born September 12, 1927, in Franzfeld, Yugoslavia, she was the daughter of Jacob and Sofia Baumann. She was a faithful member of the Apostolic Christian Church on Middle Bellville Road and had been a longtime caretaker of the Booth home in Mansfield. A giving person, her legacy was her true servant heart. People will remember her frequent garage sales on Marion Avenue that she had to benefit others in need. She made numerous trips abroad with multiple suitcases to give others what she had, coming home with just the clothes she was wearing.
Surviving are two sisters, Elizabeth Baumann and Sofia Lamp both of Mansfield; a brother, Adam Baumann of Mansfield; four nephews, Jake Baumann, Phil Hilda Lamp, Rob Mary Lamp and George Lamp; and numerous great nieces, nephews and dear relatives here and abroad. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jacob Baumann.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2010, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 17, 2010, at the funeral home conducted by Erwin Webel and Marc Contrascere. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Apostolic Christian Church Eastern European Relief Fund.
