A homemaker, she had worked briefly at Westinghouse before starting her family. She enjoyed having flowers around her house whether they were real or silk. Marcella was a wonderful kind hearted woman who would help anyone in need.
She is survived by her children, Patricia Hammond and Mary (Richard) Ruth; four grandchildren, Melissa (Mike) Snyder, Kevin (Melissa) Thompson, Steven Hammond and Reva (Erik) Estes; eight great grandchildren, Micayla, Mackenzie, Maylynn, Julian, Jacob, Amber, Ashley and Alisha; a brother, Donald (Kathy) Boyle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Jacob Bernhardt and ten siblings.
There will be no calling hours or services at this time.
