
Margaret R. 'Bert' Armstrong, age 83, of Mansfield, died Saturday morning, September 8, 2007 at home. She was born September 1, 1924 in Mansfield to the late Steve and Anna Keiser. Bert and her late husband owned and operated their family business Armstrong's Auto Wrecking for many years and she retired from the United Telephone Company. She graduated from Union School. Her passions were spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, boat parades at the Charles Mill Lake, sewing, crafts and fishing.
Surviving are granddaughters, Robin Jeff Barrett of Mansfield, Lisa Barry Rodeheffer of Union City, OH and Cara Knapp of Mansfield; great grandchildren, Nathan and Hope Barrett and Adam Rodeheffer; daughters-in-law, Debby Armstrong and Jeri Armstrong both of Mansfield and numerous nieces and nephews. Bert was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Armstrong; a son, Robert 'Bob' Armstrong; sisters, Vesta Martin and Alice Dotterer; a brother, Paul 'Edwin' Keiser and her dog Sammie.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 5-8 pm at the Ontario Home of Wappner Directors. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at 1:00 pm, at the funeral home by Rev. Ben Roby of North Central Ohio Hospice. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio.
