Margaret E. 'Peg' Byerly, 89, of Lucas, died Friday morning, May 20, 2005 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born October 30, 1915 in Mt. Vernon, she was the daughter of William and Emma Katherine Bickford Taylor. She worked as a nurse at Mansfield General Hospital, and also as a realtor. Mrs. Byerly was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and enjoyed playing cards. Loved by all, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is survived by one son, Stephen W. Byerly; grandchildren, Stephen S. and Sarah Byerly, Shane M. and Tina Byerly, all of Lucas, and Stephanie Byerly of Toledo; and great grandchildren, VaShon Byerly, Jazmyn J. Byerly, Alicia M. Byerly, and Tristan M. Byerly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace B. Byerly; her parents; and brother, Red Taylor.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday May 23, 2005 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
