Margaret Haynie

Margaret A. Pedersen Schrack Haynie, 91, of Medina, died Friday, April 16, 2010 after a brief illness. Born March 20, 1919 in Hardy, Nebraska, she was the daughter of John and Vera Morton Pedersen. She retired as the secretary to the principal at Lucas Local Schools. An avid golfer, Margaret experienced a hole in one. She was a life member and past president of the VFW Auxiliary #9943.

She was the mother of, Beverly Joseph Huffman of Medina; grandmother of, Michelle Lynn John Uher of Medina; great-grandmother of, Brittany, Danielle, and JT Uher, all of Medina; sister of, Ellen Lanham of Nebraska; and aunt to many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard D. Haynie on July 28, 2006; sisters, Dora Pedersen, Clara Copas, Christina Pedersen, Ethel Lee, Mabel Crandall and Wilma Osbun; and brothers, Raymond Pedersen, and Donald Pedersen.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 2010 at the Diamond St. Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
