Margaret McGinty

Margaret E. Herrick McGinty, 76, of Mansfield, died Saturday evening, August 13, 2005 at Woodlawn Nursing Home after an extended illness. Born April 6, 1929 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Howard and Ethel Hammett Herrick. She attended Crossroads Community Church. Mrs. McGinty enjoyed gardening and traveling.

She is survived by her husband, William L. McGinty, whom she married November 29, 1947; one son, Darryl McGinty of Ontario; two daughters and son-in-law, Debra McGinty of Ontario, and Linda and Bill Naugle of Ontario; five grandchildren, Lance McGinty, Trent McGinty, Kimberly McGinty, Brandon Dotson, and Arion Dotson; one great-grandson, Dante William McGinty, to be born later this month; one brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Luba Herrick of Ontario; and one sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Larry Shenberger of Ontario. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Juanita Knapp; and one brother, Howard Herrick.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, August 18, 2005 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Brent Salyers. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
