
Margaret M. Miu, 80, of Mansfield, died Tuesday morning, September 27, 2005 at her home after a brief illness. Born May 12, 1925 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Elmer Roy and Esther Fuhrer Gilliom. She was a faithful prayer warrior and an active member of the Community Baptist Bible Church for 25 years. Mrs. Miu worked for Conway Diet Institute as an instructor, and at Slim Dimensions prior to starting her own business, Diet Wise. She enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Nick and Nancy Miu of Marlette, Michigan, and Rick and Debbie Miu of Lexington; one daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Bob Bast of Plymouth; six grandchildren, Jeremy Miu, Jackie Everson, Christy Anderson, Jill Knuth, Laura Bast, and Robbie Bast; four great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty Gilliom, Mary and Don Fulk, Fran and Ruben Sorg, Helen and Jim Burford, all of Mansfield, and Dorothy and Jim Chambers of Ontario; one brother and sister-in-law, John and Miriam Gilliom of Conway, Arkansas; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death on January 10, 2005, by her husband, Nickolas Miu, whom she married September 30, 1949; and her parents.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 29, 2005 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Community Baptist Bible Church conducted by Pastor Joe Esarey. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Baptist Bible Church.
