
Margaret E. 'Peg' Moore, 93, of Mansfield, died Friday, March 10, 2006 at Winchester Terrace Nursing Home. Born September 15, 1912 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Boyd C. and Alice Price Lantz. She graduated from Mansfield Senior High School and Mansfield Commerce Institute. Mrs. Moore was employed at Westinghouse and later as a statistical typist for Campbell and Rose Accounting. She was a member of the First Congregational Church where she taught Sunday school, was a member of Women's Fellowship and chaired the church rummage sale. A 50-year member of the Eastern Star, Ruth Chapter #17, she was also a member of the Mansfield AARP, Tri Gamma Sorority, and Agnes Paulson Garden Club. Mrs. Moore volunteered as a Red Cross Gray Lady at Mansfield General Hospital, Head Start, Child Development Center, Fish Ministry, and Tourist Information Group. Her family was very important to her and she enjoyed playing bridge.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Lois Moore of Rockford, Illinois; one daughter and son-in-law, Charlene and Harry Frietchen of Ontario, Ohio; grandchildren, Jennifer Rick Holmes, Michael Susan Moore, Steven Denise Moore, Doug Kelly Frietchen, and Donna Arch Pope; great-grandchildren, Maria, Alex, Christopher, Amber, Matthew, Natalie, Sean, Rachel, Samantha, Ty, and Spencer; and one sister-in-law, Jean Lantz of Memphis, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Lowell Moore; parents; and brothers, Hub and Pee Wee Lantz.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 12, 2006 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors where an Eastern Star service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Burial will take place Monday at 10:30 a.m. in Mansfield Cemetery. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:30 a.m. at the First Congregational Church Chapel conducted by Rev. Clifford Schutjer. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church or the Women's Club.
