
Marilyn Long Enck, 71, lifelong resident of Mansfield, died Wednesday, September 28, 2005, after a long illness. She was born September 27, 1934, to Ora and Martha Strohminger Long and attended Mansfield Senior High School. On June 7, 1952, she married George F. Enck, who preceded her in death on April 21, 1984. Marilyn worked 31 years for Faultless Rubber Company, retiring in 2000. She was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for the past 37 years, serving in Primary and Young Women for many of those years. She was most recently the church historian and did genealogy work.
She is survived by three daughters and their spouses, Karen Glenn Keck, Peggy Mike Billings, and Cathy Bruce Ison. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Mark Keck, Andrew Keck, Phillip Keck, David Keck, Rebecca Wolfe, Kami Ray, Michael Abbott, Trudi Risner, Billy Billings, Cory Ison and Jacob Ison; fourteen great-grandchildren; her stepfather, Charles B. Jacobs; stepsister, Karen Jacobs; two stepbrothers, Charles R. Jacobs and James Jacobs; her aunt, May Bookmyer, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her only son, George Michael Enck, and mother, Ethel Jacobs.
Friends may call Sunday, October 2, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Services will be Monday, October 3 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, officiated by Bishop Robert Rivers, with additional calling from 10-11 a.m. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
