
Marilyn L. Haney, 48, of Mansfield, died Thursday, December 15, 2005 at MedCentral Hospital. Born May 2, 1957 in Williston, Florida, she was the daughter of James Bernette Monroe and Ida Mae Johnnie Gene, Sr. Beard. Mrs. Haney was employed at General Motors for 26 years. She was First Lady of The House of God Praise and Worship Center. She served faithfully in the church as a teacher, praise leader, and church secretary.
She is survived by her husband, Pastor Wash Haney, Sr.; sons and daughters-in-law, Minister Mark A. Eva Haney, Wash Jr. Ann Haney, and Wallace Haney, all of Mansfield; seven grandchildren, Christian, Donovan, Nathaniel, Dashawn, Deajah, Lamar, and Tierra; seven sisters, Joyce, Shirley, Sandra, Anita, all of Mansfield, Udona of Columbus, Quilla Mae Oates, and Nicole Monroe, both of Florida, five brothers, Johnnie C. and Mike, both of Mansfield, Johnnie Gene, Jr. of North Carolina, James Monroe, Jr., and Samuel A. Monroe, both of Florida; and a host of relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father; sister, Willa Mae Miles; and grandparents.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at the Diamond St. Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Oasis of Love Greater St. John's Church, 190 Chester Ave., conducted by Minister Mark A. Haney. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
