

Marilyn B. Jones, 83, of Ontario, passed away early Saturday morning, April 4, 2015, at Kobacker House in Columbus. She was born December 28, 1931, in Upper Sandusky, Ohio, to the late Karl W. and Helen T. (Roth) Betz.
Marilyn graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1953. She did post-graduate studies at The Ohio State University. She was a stay at home mother until her children were grown, then went back to work at Mansfield General Hospital as a Medical Technician. Marilyn was an excellent cook and enjoyed sharing her skills with her children. She was an avid Bridge player and played in a number of groups throughout the years.
Marilyn was a member of Ontario United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir.
She is survived by four children, Sandy (Gary) Balcarcel of Ft. Myers, FL, Craig (Melissa) Jones of Frisco, TX, Scott (Lyn) Jones of Kingwood, TX and Joyce Jones of Dublin, OH: six grandchildren, Chris (Jen) Sloey, Lindsay (Abe) Neumann, Kelli Sloey, Brittani Jones, Cameron (Hannah) Jones and Jordan Jones; and two great-grandchildren, Sadie and Mollie Neumann. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Jones.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2015, in the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service conducted by Rev. Peg Welch will be held in the funeral home, Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
