

Marilyn L. Pack, 68, of Mansfield died Sunday evening, November 24, 2002 at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Pack was born April 16, 1934 in Mansfield to the late Ralph J. and Eureta B. Berry Volz. She was a 1952 graduate of Mansfield Senior High. Marilyn was employed at JoAnn's Fabric Shop and was an excellent seamstress. She enjoyed crocheting and painting and spending time with her family. Marilyn will be remembered as a very generous, loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, James D. Pack, Sr.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Randy Berens of Lancaster, Ohio, and Dorinda and Jeff Strang of Mansfield; two sons and a daughter-in-law, James D. Jr. and Teresa Pack of Howard, Ohio and Michael R. Pack of Mansfield; grandchildren, Elizabeth Berens, Suzanne Berens, Rachel Berens, Lauren Berens, Adam Strang, Ashlee Strang, Aimee Strang, Tiffany Pack, Tyler Pack, Seth Pack and Colin Pack; an uncle and his wife, Wayne and Katie Berry; two aunts, Donna Smith and Kate Berry; three sisters-in-law, Helen Cline, Artie Pack and Louella and her husband, Wilson Currence; numerous nieces and nephews and special cousins, Dick and Joyce Pack of Bullhead City, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents and a great-grandson, Javion Christopher Brown.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Tuesday, November 26 from 5-8 p.m. and one hour prior to funeral services that will be held Wednesday, November 27 at 1:30 p.m., conducted by Rev. Cloyd E. Kress. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation.
