

Marion "BJ" Finley, Jr., 44, of Ashland, died unexpectedly Friday, November 25, 2016 at UH Samaritan Medical Center. Born August 14, 1972 in Polk, Ohio, he was the son of Marion James Finley, Sr. and Annette (Gast) Finley.
He was a resident of Polk for most of his life moving to Ashland seven years ago. BJ was a graduate of Mapleton High School and had worked for Luk USA as a material handler. He was quite reserved but also a jokester with a bit sarcasm in him and liked to soak in all the activity that was happening around him. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors and loved the family traditions especially Sunday dinners and Santa Claus coming with gifts to surprise the children.
He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Regina (Middleton) Finley; four children, Nevin (Sherri) Finley, Steven (Cheyenne) Finley, Sakora Finley, Nick Lynch; two grandchildren, Maya Finley and Lexi Finley; two sisters, Kacey (Jeremy) Jordan and Samantha White; a brother, Justin Finley; nieces and nephews, Jacoba Finley, Hanna Jordan, Cameron Finley and Kylie Finley; and a great niece, Jordynn Steinbrunner;
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Robert L. and Ruth E. Gast; and a niece, Cheyenne Spidel.
A Celebration of BJ's life will be held from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. on December 11, 2016 at his sister's home, Kacey Jordan, 1120 County Road 1353, Ashland.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cheyenne Spidel Memorial Fund at Chase Bank.
