
Marjorie Faye Ryon Dye, 80, of Mansfield died Wednesday evening, October 1, 2003 at Winchester Terrace Nursing Home after an extended illness. Mrs. Dye was born August 24, 1923 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. She did volunteer work at hospitals in Salem, Oregon, Lincoln, Nebraska and Galion, Ohio. She was a member of the Garden Club in San Jose, California. Marjorie enjoyed golfing with her husband, boating, playing bridge and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Donald Charles Jr. & Jane Dye of Lake Worth, Florida; a daughter and son-in-law, Sherri & Willis Prout of Mansfield; a son, Robert L. Dye of Bedford, Texas; two grandsons, Charles Clifford Dye of Tacoma, Washington and Mark Dye of Bedford, Texas; three granddaughters and spouses, Jennifer & Josh Hockman of Wellington, Ohio, Laura Dye and Kelly & Jason Watkins, all of Hurst, Texas; sisters-in-law, Jeane Ryon of Petoskey, Michigan and Faye Ryon of Johnson City, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lynne H. & Adah Coney Ryon; husband, Donald C. Dye; a grandson, Ryan Prout; and three brothers, Horton, Alan and Maurie Ryon.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Monday from 5-7 p.m. Memorial services will follow at 7:00 p.m. conducted by Rev. Barbara Ryon Howard. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
