Marjorie Lettie Walker

Marjorie Lettie Walker, 93, of Ontario, passed away Tuesday evening, November 17, 2020, at her home. She was born January 27, 1927, in Orlando, Florida, to the late John Thomas and Dorothy Elizabeth (Schopf) Capps.

She had lived most of her early life in Wilmington, North Carolina. Marjorie was a member of Ocean View United Methodist Church in Oak Island, North Carolina. She was formerly employed as a switchboard operator at AAA Travel. Her favorite places were outdoors-gardening and being at the ocean. Vacationing with her family and swimming were two of her most pleasurable activities.

Marjorie is survived by a son, Donald (Gidget) Walker; two daughters, Donna (Mark) Gothard and Sondra (Bob) Diller; two granddaughters; one grandson; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and a sister, June (Earl) Munford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Walker.

A memorial service conducted by Pastor Brian Phillips will be held Friday, November 27, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. in the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. Memorial contributions may be made to Southern Care Hospice.
