
Mark Preston Wooldridge, 42, of Mansfield died unexpectedly Monday, November 3, 2003. Mark was born December 14, 1960 in Columbus, Ohio living in the Mansfield area since 1976. He was manager 23 years of Twin Lakes and Wooldridge Woods Golf Courses and most recently owner/operator of Preston Lawn & Landscape. Mark was a member of Crossroads Community Church, Chamber of Commerce, Elks and Moose Lodges and the North Central Ohio Business Development Council. Mark was a graduate of Ontario High School and Ohio State Wooster Agricultural Technical Institute where he earned a degree in Agronomy. He loved Nascar, especially Dale Earnhardt, football, fishing, boating, camping and motorcycles. His special place and time was his cabin with his wife, children and Pop.
He is survived by his wife, Sara Jean Grimmer Wooldridge of Mansfield; two daughters and a son at home, Christina Mahon, Chevi Brianna Wooldridge and Colt Preston Wooldridge; parents, Nelson E. & Marty Simmons Wooldridge of Mansfield and Tennessee; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sheri Wooldridge & Doug West of Mansfield and Suzanne Wooldridge & Mark Kesling of Columbus; maternal grandfather, Lloyd 'Pop' Simmons of Columbus; father-in-law and friend David Grimmer and mother-in-law, Maria Grimmer of Shelby; sister-in-law, Luz Ellen Bays of Plymouth; brother-in-law, Frederick Grimmer of Ashland; grandfather-in-law, Fleet Baker of Galion; aunts, uncles, cousins; numerous nieces and nephews; and many, many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Marilyn Simmons; paternal grandparents, Bernice and Stone Begley and Clarence Wooldridge; and a nephew, Brandon Allen Bays.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Friday from 2-4 & 6-9 and one hour prior to funeral services to be held at Crossroads Community Church, 1456 Park Avenue West, Saturday at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Rev. Tim Armstrong. Burial will follow in Shauck Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to North Central Ohio Business Development Council Mark Wooldridge Children's Fund in care of Richland Bank
