

Marlene McDonald Baker, 73, of Mansfield, died late Saturday evening, December 25, 2004 at Mt. Carmel/St. Ann's Hospital in Westerville. She was born August 29, 1931, in Mansfield to Lyle Q. and Gertrude Daugherty Shade. She retired 12 years ago from Sensor and Switches in Lexington. Marlene attended St. Mark's Lutheran Church. She was a member of V.F.W. Post #9943 and American Legion Post #16.
She is survived by a daughter, Victoria 'Vicki' Langer of Ontario; two grandchildren and their spouses, Gregory and Amanda Foltz, Christian and Melissa Langer, all of Bellville; a great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Grace Langer; husband, Franklin Baker; a stepdaughter and her husband, Terri and Brent Perkins of Mansfield; a stepson and his wife, Mike and Kristen Baker of Mt. Vernon; and four step-grandchildren, Justin, Katlin, Ashley, Brianne. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Greg McDonald, and brother, Richard Shade.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Wednesday, December 29 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Lee Hardy. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
