Marvin O. Day, 79, of Mansfield died Monday afternoon, May 27, 2002 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after a brief illness. Mr. Day was born October 13, 1922 in Lexington, Ohio to Orva and Nellie Day. He retired from Ideal Electric where he was employed as a small motor builder from November 3, 1955 to December 1, 2000. He was a member of USWA #8530 and long ago attended Palmyra Church. Marvin enjoyed electronics, cars and photography.
Shirlene Poth, Leroy Swihart and Bob Ralph and many other friends survive him. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Thursday, May 30 from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. Committal will be in Lexington Cemetery, Friday at 10:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Toy Time.
