
Mary Ann Hawk Danas, 65, of Mansfield, died Saturday, August 19, 2006 at her home. Born January 9, 1941 in Shelby, she was the daughter of Arthur and Helen Schryock Hawk. Mrs. Danas worked in retail sales. She was a member of the Main St. United Methodist Church. Mrs. Danas was also a member of the Lady Elks. Always caring and giving, she was a loving mother and grandmother whose sole purpose in life was doting on those she loved.
She is survived by her husband, George Danas; one son and daughter-in-law, Al and Kelly Danas; three daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Mike Dever, Vicki and Bubba Wettrich, and Kim and David Speck; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Ila and Horace Cooke of Holly Hill, Florida; and one brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Joyce Hawk of Shelby. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Russell, Richard, and Orin Hawk, and three sisters, Ada Hammer, Martha Adkins, and Laura Dent.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, August 21, 2006 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Friends may also call one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service Tuesday at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Allen Rose. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Shelby. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to MedCentral Hospice.
