
Mary Viola Booker, 74, of Galion, went to be with the Lord Friday, November 6, 2009 at Olentangy Woods Nursing Home. Born March 20, 1935 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of William and Viola Turner Hoffman. She was a member of Hillside Church of God. An avid porcelain doll collector, Mary enjoyed cross stitching, and her flower garden. She loved to spend time with her family and grandchildren, and especially loved baking for them during the holidays.
She is survived by one son, Randy Booker of Lucas; daughter, Kathy Booker of Galion; and son-in-law, George Rogers; seven grandchildren, Tim and Mike Booker of Lucas; David Booker fiancé, Tracy Smallwood of Columbus; Carrie Rogers fiancé, Dan Cottrell of Galion; Jennifer Rogers of Galion, James and Allison Wright of Middlefield, and Jessica Wright of Alliance; brother and sister-in-law, William and Billie Rae Hoffman of Mansfield; and sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Larry Pryor of Mansfield. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bennie Booker; and daughter, Linda Rogers.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, November 9, 2009 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield conducted by Rev. Glen Phillips. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
