

Mary M. Long Case, 90 of Ashland died February 18, 2005 at Brookwood Place in Ashland. Born February 17, 1915 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Lewis and Jennie McCormick Long. Living in the Richland and Ashland City area all her life, Mrs. Case was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Ashland. She was a medical secretary and a member of the Ruth Chapter of Eastern Star. Mrs. Case was an avid bridge player.
Survivors include two nephews and their spouses, Thomas and Rose Long of Bay Village, and William and Joy Long, Jr. of Lenexa, Kansas; two nieces and spouse, Jo Ann Hall, and Cheryl and Forrest Benner, all of Mansfield; sister-in-law, Charlotte Long of Holmes Beach, Florida; and special friend, Harold Burke. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Russell M. Case; two brothers, William and John Long; three sisters, Ruth Harris, Marie Hardy and Etta Fox.
Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday February 20, 2005 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, with Eastern Star services at 6 p.m. Friends may also call one hour prior to the 1 p.m. funeral service on Monday at the funeral home with Rector Emeritus David Sipes and Pastor Bob Pflueger officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Ashland.
