
Mary A. Chapman, 83, of 1000 Marion Ave., died Tuesday evening June 12, 2001 at MedCentral Mansfield following an extended illness. Mrs. Chapman was born October 22, 1917 in North Dakota residing in the Mansfield area most of her life. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Surviving are her husband of 38 years, David Chapman; two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Lindia Gleisinger; and Harold and Phyllis Crider all of Mansfield; one daughter and son-in-law, Loretta and Robert Prosser of Mansfield; one daughter-in-law, Judy Crider of Mansfield; twenty four grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Valley and Louise Gleisinger and Joseph and Darlene Gleisinger all of Mansfield; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Bertha Long; Kate and Willis Crider and Evelyn and Archie Hassig all of Mansfield; six brothers-in-law, Paul Eberle of Crestline; and Robert Dailey of Mansfield; Fred and Marilyn Chapman of Mansfield; Carl and Joy Chapman of Ashland, Ohio; Virgil and Gladys Chapman; Claude and Eva Chapman; and one sister-in-law, Dorothy Deaton all of Michigan; and a number of nieces, nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Lefor Gleisinger; her first husband, Noel Crider; one son, Gerald Crider; four sisters, Elizabeth Gleisinger; Eleanor Primmer; Mac Eberle; Barbara Dailey; and two brothers, John Jr. and Peter Gleisinger.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Thursday June 14, 2001 from 5-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday June 15, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Michael G. Rogers. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
