
Mary Ann Cira, 78, of Mansfield, died Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at her home. Born July 26, 1929 in Morgantown, West Virginia, she was the daughter of Edward John and Anna Stupar. She retired from the North American Knitting Mill. Mary Ann was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling, loved golfing and bowling and was a big fan of West Virginia University Mountaineer football.
She is survived by her husband, John Cira; two daughters, Cindy Randy Scaggs of Waco, KY and Sandy Matt Thomas of Frederick, MD; four grandchildren, James Nicole Scaggs of Scott AFB, IL, Justin Scaggs of Waco, KY, Joseph Thomas of Williamsport, PA and Michael Thomas of Dover, DE; and a great-granddaughter, Trinity Scaggs. Preceding her in death were her parents, seven brothers and one sister.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, January 31 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Keith McCormack officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. The family would like to extend a special thank you to her friends and church family for keeping Mary Ann in their prayers.
