

Mary was a graduate of Mansfield Senior High School and was employed at Rogate, Dominion Electric and Hartman Electric/Tyco from which she retired after 21 years of service. She enjoyed playing BINGO at Peoples Senior Center for many years where she made and loved many friends as well as traveling to Las Vegas annually. She also enjoyed reading and working puzzle books. Mary was a wonderful person and was truly loved by all her family and friends.
She is survived by a daughter, DeAntha (Jonathan) Groff of Powell, Ohio; a son, Kevin Crider of Columbus, Ohio; brothers, Frank (Christine) Mitchell and Richard Mitchell; grandchildren, Maree Shogren, Timothy E. (Kathy) Crider, Danny (Samantha) Shoemaker, Melissa (James) Driesen, Timothy D. Crider, Stacy (Streeter) Clow and Jon (Erin) Groff, Jr.; her very best friend of 40 years and later her caregiver, Sharon Daugherty; and her extended family, Charlie and Michelle Daugherty, Wendy and Ron Nichols, Dean and Teresa Daugherty, Sarah and Aaron Kujawa, Bethany and Heath Gray and Charlotte Daugherty; six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Timothy D. Crider; a brother, Walter Mitchell, Jr.; a nephew, Steven J. Mitchell; and a sister-in-law, Bonnie Mitchell.
Per Mary's request, there will be no calling hours. Her wishes were that everyone remember her as they knew her. Her family hopes that you would hold her in your heart as you remember her in your own special way.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Richland County Humane Society.
