

Mary A. Crider, 88, of Mansfield died peacefully in her sleep at home where she resided with her daughter and son-in-law Shirley and Jesse Hoffman the past six years. Mary was born in Ashland, Ohio to the late Howard Jacobs and Edith Peters.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Clarence (Allen) Crider. They had retired to Zephyrhills, Florida where they lived for almost 25 years. Mary's strong faith in her Lord and Savior was never wavering. She lived her Christian beliefs daily and instilled the love of God in her three children. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with her whole heart.
Left to cherish so many special memories of Mary are her children, Shirley (Jesse) Hoffman, Patricia Strickler, and Richard (Diane) Crider; her grandchildren, Jesse David (Nicole) Hoffman Jr., Jason (Missy) Hoffman, Tricia (Steve) Moore all of Shelby, Keith (Cindy) Strickler of Ontario, Susan (Andy) Topoly of North Carolina, Chad (Athena) Crider of Mansfield, Jenifer (Nick) Baker of Westerville, and Tammy (Tim) Schrader of Missouri; blessed with 21 great-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; nine great great-grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn Connors; brother, David Jacobs; 3 half-brothers, Harold, Gaylen and Mike Jacobs; and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Paul and Kathryn Crider, Lucille and John Barber, and Robert and Angel Crider; and her four-legged companion Rocky. Preceding her in death besides her husband and parents were her brother, Paul Jacobs; a half-brother, Mike Jacobs; a son-in-law, Dale Strickler; and a grandson, Jeremy Crider.
The family will receive friends from 4-7pm on Friday, September 8, 2017 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd.
