
Mary L. Davis, 66, of Mansfield, died early Saturday morning, December 4, 2004 at her home after an extended illness. She was born August 10, 1938, in Mansfield to Erman and Hazel Ward Tackett. She had worked as a nurse's aide at several area nursing homes and enjoyed needlework.
She is survived by six daughters, Connie Sparks of Mansfield, Linda Conley of Federalsburg, Maryland, Georgetta Kinnison of Portsmouth, Tammie Queen of Mansfield, Wanda Enderle of Savannah, and Jeannette Stewart and her husband, Marty of Mansfield; three sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Paula Carter, Earl and Terra Carter, Jeffery and Stephanie Carter, all of Mansfield; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Brown of Fredericktown and Lois Reynolds of Columbus; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Pammie Carter and son, Mark Carter.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Monday, December 6 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 7 at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Philip Green. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
