
Mary Gombosch, 87, of Mansfield, died Monday, January 15, 2007, at Winchester Terrace Nursing Center. Born May 28, 1919, in Sremscamitrovice, Yugoslavia, the daughter of Antone and Katarina Gfrer Ferger. She was an area resident since 1950 and had worked as a chef at Westinghouse Corp. cafeteria, Tappan Co. cafeteria and retired from Empire Detroit cafeteria in 1984. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and loved cooking and gardening.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, George and Doris Gombosch and Luke Gombosch, all of Mansfield; six grandchildren, Mark Barbara Gombosch, Lori Gombosch, Steve Tracy Gombosch, Mike Sheri Gombosch, Tim Susan Gombosch, and Tina Mike Wilson; eleven great-grandchildren, Megan, Kierstyn, Rachel, Lincoln, Allyson, Alex, Leah, Dustin and Dakota Gombosch, Justin and Sydney Wilson; a sister-in-law, Katherine Ferger; and six nieces and nephews, Olga, Bill, Rick, Helen, Walt and Rudy Ferger. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Gombosch, parents, two brothers, John and Joe Ferger, two sisters, Anna Tadijanc and Katie Milovac; and daughter-in-law, Roseann M. Gombosch.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 18, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, conducted by Pastor Renato Siewert. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church or the Alzheimer's Association.
